Material morpher

Here I will explain how to use material morpher material to create a blending material animation

First we will make a sphere object

We will make a rotation animation for it using the motion panel. Change the timeframe to 200 by clicking on the down in the right

Now go to the Motion panel and in the frame 0 create key for the Z rotation

In frame 200 create rotation key for Z axis and set the value to -360

Open Material Editor and create a Morpher material and assign this to the sphere

Also select the sphere and from modifier list choose Morpher

Choose Morph Object and pick the sphere then bind to Morpher modifier

In the base material setup your first material

In the Mat1: choose your second material. If you want there are plenty of more material slots to add

Now use the timeline to create the animated materials. Go to frame 101 and in morpher modifier choose the first slot and put the value you want, in this case 30, that means that in frame 101 the second material will be visible 30 procent

Go to frame 200 and set this value to 100, which means that is full visible

Now for the animation part we render all the frames and remember to save them to a location. After this use RAM player to generate the movie

Here is the final version

Thanks for watching the tutorial!
